How do I book you for my Wedding Ceremony or other Function?

1.)  You contact me with the date, time & location of your event and any preferences you have for
specific instrumentation.  If you're unsure about instrumentation, I can help you figure out what you'd
like.

2.)  I draw up two copies of a contract that we each sign.  This can be done either by mail or in person.

3.)  One copy of the contract is returned to me with a nonrefundable deposit of 1/2 the total fee for the
event.

4.) For wedding ceremonies:   A month before the event, you tell me the specific repertoire you'd like.
If you need help choosing music, I can help you decide.   Unusual songs should be requested early so
that I have time to order the sheet music if necessary.

5.)  One week before the event, you pay me the remaining balance.  You may also pay the remaining
balance at the start of the event, but keep in mind that you'll be very busy that day!

6.)  I (or we) play at your event!
What instrument combinations do you have?

I'd like a Piano/Cello Duo, but there's no piano on-site.

No problem!  My pianist (coincidentally, he's also my dad!) has a very nice-sounding portable piano
that he can bring to the event.  All he needs is an electrical outlet and he's good to go!

I have an unusual song that I'd like played at my wedding.  Can you do that?

For the most part, absolutely, and I'm very happy to do this for you.  If I need to buy special music,
then you may be responsible for the cost of the music and the shipping.  Please try to imagine how
your song will sound when played on classical instruments.

What does your group usually wear at events?

The women wear dressy black, and the men wear black suits (or tuxedos) with black shirts.

Do you play outdoors?

We are very happy to play outdoors provided we are in a covered location that will protect our
fragile, expensive wooden instruments.  We cannot play outdoors under any of the following
conditions:

For background music, do I need to choose all the music?

No, that would be way too much work for you!  We arrive at the event with plenty of different music
to play, and then choose from our pieces based on the mood of the crowd at the moment.   The same
applies for seating music at wedding ceremonies.  Of course, you can always request that we include
your favorites at your event!

Do you need amplification?

No, we don't usually need any amplification, since our instruments carry well on their own.  Talk to us
about your specific concerns, since we may be able to bring our own equipment if necessary.
